 THE STORY BEHIND

Casa Ruiz has a long history in Boquete and Plinio Ruiz, the owner, is the current president of Panama's Specialty Coffee Association SCAP. The family farm is run by Plinio along with his brother Josue and science minded sister Maria are a multi-faceted group. This coffee has seen consistently high placement in competition.
La Berlina Estate is located in the region of Horqueta in Boquete, Panama. The estate was founded by Mr. Segundo Diaz, a Colombian soldier who was sent to Panama to fight the separatist uprising at the beginning of 1900s.
The trees grown in La Berlina were picked from direct descendants of Typica coffee trees found growing in the jungle by Segundo Diaz.
This lot has a well balanced deep flavours of chocolate, graham cracker and hint of spices, a moderate sweetness, with citrus crispness in the cup.
A super pleasant morning coffee!
